PAN9320 is a stand alone 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n WiFi module, which can be integrated into various end applications. All protocols and applications are included and handled by the MCU on the module.
Layout design efforts, calibration- and test efforts in production are reduced compared to discrete solutions. In Transparent Mode all data is sent unmodified to e.g. smart devices, web server or PC applications via the UART interface of PAN9320.
This significantly reduces time to market and development risks as internet functionality can be added very easily to exisiting end products with low performance host controller.
The integrated memory can be used in the end application to store individual web contents such as html pages or image data.
Simultaneous support Access-Point- & Infrastructure Mode enables easy setup up, allowing simultaneous WiFi connections from PAN9320 to smart devices and home area network routers. State of the art security protocols guarantee secured data transfer e.g. via integrated e-mail client or cloud services.

PAN9020/10 is a series of 2.4GHz ISM band wireless radio modules for implementing WLAN functionality into various electronic devices. The cost-effective, low-power operation, system-on-chip (SoC) solutions enable wireless network applications to be built with low total bill-of-material costs. The radio modules combine an excellent 802.11 wireless radio, baseband processor, medium access controller, encryption unit, boot ROM with patching capability, internal SRAM, in-system programmable flash memory and many other powerful supporting features and peripherals. The low-power operation is supporting deep sleep and standby modes by using the on-board power management unit.

Panasonic offers a software package supporting various Fedora Core Kernel versions. The Hardware Interface Driver controls the hardware interface on the HOST side. Furthermore, the software package from Marvell® consists of various applications, demonstrations and utilities.
